The majority of the people get frustrated after they have given an interview for a job. The most common question people ask is that why they are not getting a call from the company. Remember that there is no secret trick to know the company decision on your job interview. Only you can wait for their decision. There are some ways that can be chosen by you to have a follow-up for a job offer and remember that these ways will help you a lot and can also change the job decision by the team. The company can also accept you as their employer even if you were in their rejected list if you will follow below given ways:

 

01. A Thank You Note:

Once your interview is done then the next step is to write a thank you note to all those members who took your interview. You can also add their names if you know. You can either write a formal email or you can also write a thank you note. It will also help you to have a follow-up for your job offer. Remember that you have to given the written note on the same day you have been interviewed. You can also add a small thank you card and it will look more impressive. don’t select flashy thank you card because it will have a bad impression. You can also write the name of the company inside the card and can thank them for giving you an opportunity to have an interview with them. Moreover also add that you hope to work with them soon.

 

02. On a specific Date:

Once you are done with the interview then the recruiting manager will tell you the date on which the company will make the decision of candidate selection. Never follow up before the specific date given by the recruiting manager. Once the date has passed then you may call the manager and can ask him regarding the job. If you haven’t received any call till the last date then you can also call the recruiting manager directly or can send him an email to ask your interview status.

 

03. Ask For A Time Line:

You can also ask for a time line once your interview has done. In this way, it will be more easy for you to have a follow-up. A lot of companies provide a specific time line. But few companies don’t provide as well. Then you may ask them for a specific date when they will take their final decision. It could be easier for you. You can also ask for the business card of the person who has taken your interview. On his business card, you can find all his contact details and you can also send him a thank-you note for the interview.

 

04. Make Notes About Interview:

Once your interview has completed then don’t forget to make notes on it immediately. As the information is stored fresh in your mind. If you will delay making notes then you may forget lots of things and can skip many important points. A lot of companies don’t make the selection of employees in one interview. They often take few interviews to make the best selection. So writing notes will help you to answer your questions in next follow up interview and it will also help you to get the job opportunity. It will also help you to remind all those things that you have already said in your first or previous interview with the same company.

 

05. Ask To Connect on Linkedin:

You can also ask the person who has taken your interview to connect on LinkedIn with you. In this way, you can also keep a follow up for the job offer. A lot of companies keep posting on LinkedIn that their job requirements are fulfilled or they are still in search. Adding that person on LinkedIn will help you to know the interview status. Moreover, you can also know about more job openings by the company. As you know that LinkedIn is the only platform that keeps you updated regarding job opportunities. Once you are connected to the recruiting officer on LinkedIn then you can also have a casual conversation with him. And maybe in future, he can offer you better jobs.

 

06. After several Days of an interview:

If several days after the interview has been gone and still the company has not given any verdict of your job interview then you can write another email or you can also make another phone call. You can remind them that you have given an interview on the specific date and time and now you are on a follow-up and want to know their response. Dont get panic while writing an email or making a phone call. Either you may get rejected by the company but remember that another opportunity is waiting for you. Or the person may say that still, the company has not taken any final decision. So don’t get disappointed and just relax while making another call. It’s natural to have negative thoughts in your mind if you don’t get any response from the company after so many days of the interview.

 

07. Don’t Get Disappointed:

Even if you don’t get the job then don’t get disappointed. Thank the company that they invited you for the interview. This positive gesture can also make the same company to invite you again if they have another job opportunity. Never get angry or show your aggression. Remember that positive behavior will help you to move forward in life with good memories.
